The Santa Barbara Youth Project was co-founded in 1998 by Dr. Peter Claydon and Susan Miller, R.N. because of the need to provide alternative interventions for at-risk youth in our community. The SBYP is dedicated to supporting disadvantaged children by sponsoring them to attend week-long, summer horse camps.
The Santa Barbara Youth Project has been designated by the IRS as a non-profit organization. We are supported entirely by donations from the general public and private foundations. We've always collaborated with other non-profit agencies and we are currently expanding our summer horse camps to include musical instruction through the Santa Barbara Youth Music Academy.
